Creating an Account

You can sign up with an email and password, or through Google or Apple. You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in some EU countries) to use Closet DJ.

Keeping Your Account Secure

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe. Do not share your password with anyone. If you suspect your account has been compromised, change your password immediately and contact us at support@closetdj.com.

Account Accuracy

You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it up to date.

One Account Per Person

Each account is for one individual. You may not share accounts or create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits.

Advertising on Free DJ

Free DJ is supported by advertising. Free accounts may see ads served by Google inside the app. Paid plans (DJ Lite and DJ Pro) and the Welcome Pass do not show ads, so upgrading removes them.

• Ads are chosen and delivered by Google. We do not control which specific advertisers appear, and an ad appearing in Closet DJ is not an endorsement by us.
• Your wardrobe, photos, outfits, avatar, appearance profile and Style Assistant conversations are never shared with advertisers.
• Ads may be personalized using cookies and your device's advertising identifier. You can review or withdraw those choices at any time from Settings → Account → Privacy → Ad privacy choices, which reopens our advertising partner's consent tool. See our Privacy Policy for what Google receives.
• Attempting to interfere with ad delivery, including automated clicking or artificially generating impressions, is a breach of these terms and may result in your account being suspended.
• We may change the number, placement, or format of ads, or stop showing them entirely, at any time.

Welcome Pass

When you create a new account, you may be automatically granted a 10-day Welcome Pass. The Welcome Pass gives you full access to all DJ Pro features (including the Style Assistant, Trip Planner, and Laundry tracking) at no charge and with no payment method required.

• The Welcome Pass is active for 10 days from the moment it is granted.
• During the Welcome Pass you receive an elevated AI credit allowance; the exact amount is shown in the app.
• Item, outfit, and location limits are removed during the Welcome Pass. When the pass expires, Free DJ limits are reinstated.
• The Welcome Pass is available to new users only and can only be used once per account. Users who have previously held a paid or Welcome Pass subscription are not eligible.
• The Welcome Pass is provided at our sole discretion and may be disabled at any time without notice.
• When the pass expires, your account automatically reverts to Free DJ. You will see a summary of the features you used and a recommendation on which plan suits you best.
• No charges are made at the end of the Welcome Pass. You must actively choose to upgrade to a paid plan.

Billing

• Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly, depending on the plan you choose, and auto-renew at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
• On the web, payments are processed securely by Stripe. Prices are in Euros (€) and include any applicable VAT. You can manage your billing details via the Stripe Customer Portal, accessible from the Subscription page.
• On iOS, subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store. On Android, subscriptions are billed through the Google Play Store. Apple and Google billing is subject to their respective terms and refund policies. You can manage or cancel these subscriptions from your device's App Store or Play Store account settings.

AI Credits

• AI credits are consumed by AI features including photo import (outfits and individual items), the Style Assistant, and image enhancement.
• Credit cost estimates for each feature are always shown in the app before you confirm an action, and are listed on our AI Credits page. These are estimates; the actual number of credits charged may vary slightly.
• Credits reset monthly on your billing anniversary. Unused credits do not carry over.
• Once your credits are exhausted, AI features are unavailable until the next monthly reset or until you upgrade.

Upgrading

When you upgrade mid-cycle, pricing is adjusted pro-rata for the remaining days in your billing period and you receive bonus credits proportional to those remaining days.

Free Trial

New users may be offered a 30-day free trial of DJ Pro. The trial gives you full access to all DJ Pro features at no charge for 30 days.

• On the web: A valid payment method is required to start the trial. You will not be charged until the trial ends. After 30 days, your subscription automatically converts to a paid DJ Pro plan at the standard monthly price unless you cancel before the trial period ends.
• On iOS/Android: Trial terms are managed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store respectively. The trial may require a payment method on file with Apple or Google.
• You can cancel the trial at any time from the Subscription page (web) or your device's App Store / Play Store account settings (iOS/Android). Cancelling before the trial ends means you will not be charged and your access will revert to Free DJ at the end of the trial period.
• Only one free trial per customer. If you have previously held a paid or trial subscription, you are not eligible for another trial.

Downgrading or Cancelling

• You can downgrade or cancel at any time from the Subscription page.
• You keep your current plan's features until the end of the current billing period.
• After that, your account moves to the lower tier (or Free DJ if cancelled).
• We do not offer refunds for unused portions of a billing period, except where required by applicable consumer protection law.

Gifted Plans

Some accounts may receive a gifted plan applied by an administrator. Gifted plans are non-transferable and provided at our sole discretion.

Marketing Emails

When you create an account, you are enrolled in marketing emails by default. These include styling tips, product updates, and offers from Closet DJ. You can opt out at any time from the Email Preferences section in Account Settings. Opting out does not affect transactional and account-related emails (such as password resets and billing confirmations).

Ownership

You own the clothing photos, names, notes, and other content you add to Closet DJ. We do not claim ownership over your personal wardrobe data.

Licence to Us

By uploading content to Closet DJ, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, display, and process it solely to provide the service to you. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

Your Responsibility

You are responsible for the content you upload. Please do not upload photos that include other people without their permission, or content that infringes copyright or any other rights.

Photos of Yourself, Your Avatar & Try-On Images

If you use Try It On, you confirm that the full-body photo and face close-up you upload are of you, that you are the person shown, and that you are entitled to upload them. You must not upload a photograph of anyone else, including a friend, a family member, a child, or a public figure.

Your uploaded photographs are deleted once your avatar has been generated. The avatar, the profile portrait, and any try-on images generated from them are yours; we do not claim ownership of them, and we use them only to provide the feature to you.

These images are AI-generated and are not photographs. They are an approximation of your appearance and of how a garment might look, and they will not always be accurate. They are not a representation of how a garment will actually fit you, and should not be relied on when deciding whether something will fit, suit you, or be worth purchasing.

How AI Works in Closet DJ

• Photo Import: AI analyses images you provide to identify and describe clothing items. Your images are sent to Google Gemini for processing via Lovable's AI gateway.
• Image Enhancement: AI generates an improved product-style image of your clothing item. Your photo is sent to Google Gemini for processing via Lovable's AI gateway.
• Style Assistant (Pro plan): The AI Style Assistant offers fashion suggestions based on your wardrobe and your prompts. The assistant's communication style can be personalised via the DJ Tone setting in Settings. Conversations are sent to Google Gemini / Open AI for processing.
• Voice Input: If you speak to the Style Assistant instead of typing, your audio is sent to Google Gemini (via Lovable's AI gateway) to be transcribed into text. The audio recording is not retained after transcription.
• Try It On: AI generates an avatar of you from two photos you upload, a written description of your appearance used to personalise styling advice, and images of that avatar wearing clothes from your wardrobe. Your photos, avatar, and clothing images are sent to Google Gemini via Lovable's AI gateway. See our Privacy Policy for what is stored, for how long, and how to erase it.

All AI requests are sent through Lovable's AI gateway, which forwards them to Google Gemini or, for the Style Assistant, OpenAI (ChatGPT). The model used is not determined by user selection; it may vary per request. Your data is not shared with any AI provider other than these.

Limitations

AI-generated results are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. Results are a starting point. Always review and edit AI output before relying on it. The Style Assistant is a helpful tool, not professional fashion advice.

Third-Party AI Providers

AI features rely on Google Gemini (Google LLC) and OpenAI / ChatGPT (OpenAI, LLC). By using AI features, you acknowledge that your inputs (images, messages) may be processed by either of these providers depending on the request. You will not necessarily know which model processed a specific request. Each provider processes data in accordance with their own privacy policies and API terms of service.

PostHog AI event tracking: Every AI request fires an analytics event to PostHog (EU servers, eu.i.posthog.com). Each event includes:

• A truncated version of your input: your prompt text or image description (up to 5,000 characters)
• A truncated version of the AI's response (up to 5,000 characters)
• Technical metadata: model name, provider, response time (latency), and token counts

This data is used solely to monitor and improve AI feature performance. It is processed on PostHog's EU servers.

PostHog session tracking: On every sign-in, the app sends your user profile to PostHog including: email address, gender, approximate location (city, country, country code), subscription tier, trial status, billing mechanism, AI credits used, operating system, device type, platform (web/iOS/Android), and whether you are using the native app. Session activity and browser/app console logs are also recorded by default.

Credit Consumption

Credit cost estimates are always shown in the app before you confirm an AI action, and are listed on our AI Credits page. These are estimates; the actual number of credits charged for an action may vary slightly.

What It Does

The Scheduler lets you plan outfits or individual items on future dates from a month or week calendar with weather context, and mark them as worn in one tap when the day arrives.

Effects on Your Closet & Other Features

Marking a scheduled outfit or item as worn automatically:

• increments wear counts on the relevant items;
• may move items into your laundry baskets when laundry tracking is enabled;
• influences what surfaces in the Home dashboard's "Today's Outfit Pick" and other smart suggestions; recently scheduled or worn items may be deprioritised so you don't see them again right away;
• excludes items already marked dirty or packed for an active trip from being scheduled.

These automatic updates can be reversed manually, but we are not liable for incorrect wear counts or laundry status caused by accidental taps.

Weather Data

Forecasts shown next to scheduled days come from Open-Meteo and are provided for convenience only. We are not responsible for forecast accuracy or for outfit decisions made based on it.

Tier Availability

The Scheduler is included in the DJ Lite and DJ Pro plans. Free DJ users may see the feature but require an upgrade to use it.

Trip Overlap

Days falling inside a planned trip surface those trip plans inline on the calendar; the Scheduler will not double-book items already packed for that trip.

Calendar Subscriptions

You can subscribe to an external calendar by providing an ICS/webcal URL. We periodically fetch that feed on your behalf and display its events alongside your schedule for context. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share the feed's contents with us, and we are not responsible for the accuracy or availability of third-party calendar data. You can remove a subscribed feed at any time.

Service Availability

We aim to keep Closet DJ available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues beyond our control.

Changes to the Service

We may add, modify, or remove features at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of changes that significantly affect your use of paid features.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify, update, or replace these Terms at any time and at our sole discretion. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. For material changes, we will notify you in advance by email or in-app notification before they take effect.

Your right to cancel and receive a pro-rata refund: If you do not agree to a material change to these Terms, you may cancel your paid subscription before the updated Terms take effect (or within 30 days of being notified, whichever is later) and request a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of your current billing period. To request a refund, contact us at support@closetdj.com. Refunds will be issued to your original payment method within a reasonable timeframe.

For subscriptions billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, refunds are subject to the respective store's refund policy; we will assist where possible but cannot directly process refunds for store-billed subscriptions.

Continued use of the service after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of those Terms.
